The New Camerawalls

I am happy to announce the official addition of drummer Joseph Rudica to the present line-up of my band. He’s also currently the drummer of our sister-band The Gentle Isolation. He’s been filling up the post since May this year with a debut stint at the Club 8 concerts in Manila and Cebu and later on during the production of our new EP.

Joseph (also know as “Bachie“) recently recorded 4 songs with us a couple of months ago. You can hear his excellent contribution to our sound once the new EP is released. For related news and exclusive preview of the new single “Bread and Circuses” visit http://thecamerawalls.com

The Camerawalls' new line-up (from L-R): Joseph Rudica, Law Santiago and Clementine. The photo was taken on the 8th of November during the EP cover shoot, which I readily credited to Nina Sandejas, our official photographer. Funny though, it turns out her partner in life Francis Reyes (NU 107 jock and ex-guitarist of The Dawn), who was also present and assisting in the shoot, WAS the one who took it. Thanks guys!

Joseph also hails from Bulacan, in the city of Meycauayan, making our line-up consist solidly of provincial figures (Law is from the town of Balagtas, while I reside in Baliuag).

An interesting character and an RC hobbyist, he collects and assembles all kinds of radio controlled vehicles (cars, helicopters, boats, motorcycles, trucks, airplanes), electric and gas powered, from 1/24 to 1/5 scale. He’s also the official scale pilot of the International Balloon Fest in Clark, Pampanga – a 3-day aerial parade.

He started at the early age of ten, and during the late ’80s, he used to be a full time RC Car racer, usually held at the Quezon City Circle, joining the likes of Richard Gomez, Jojo Lastimosa, Jack Enrile and Yllana brothers. To date his RC collection count is 77 units. Below is a video I took of his naughty HiTec Robonova, remote controlled using a normal TV controller.

This amazing (and rather expensive) toy can surprisingly replicate any human movement. I will try to find out more of his collection and write about it in the future. Ciao!
