outside the Griffith Observatory

When you don’t plan or research on places to visit, what the worst thing that could happen?

Behind me is the Hollywood sign which I plan to hike on foot and wind up behind the letters. 10/30/2012

I did a random visit on a Tuesday with a friend at Griffith Observatory which is just about 10 miles away from where I live but unfortunately it is closed. Nevertheless, the breathtaking view from the outside does not disappoint paired with cool breeze, blue skies and warm rays of the sun. Makes me wish time would stop while I lazily anchor myself on the grass.

Will plan my next visit and check out the Samuel Oschin Planetarium and the Rooftop Vistas and then follow the Hollyridge hiking trail to the Hollywood sign.

Griffith Observatory is in Los Angeles, California. Sitting on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood in L.A.’s Griffith Park, it commands a view of the Los Angeles Basin, including Downtown Los Angeles to the southeast, Hollywood to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest. The observatory is a popular tourist attraction with an extensive array of space and science-related displays. Source: Wikipedia
