as long as there’s fire, as long as there’s you

At first I wasn’t that excited upon seeing a trail of post about David Bowie’s new album “The Next Day” coming out on March 12. This morning while having coffee, I decided to click on a random link on my news feed.

Now I wish I’ve seen this sooner. I expected a single that goes with a bang, instead a surprising tear-inducing ballad blasted on the desktop speaker.  I can imagine a moony look on my face the whole time I’m watching the music video. I have not been so moved by a song for a long time. Wish I had written this beautiful piece. A brilliant addition to my travel playlist!

Where are we now?
Where are we now?
The moment you know
You know, you know
As long as there’s sun
As long as there’s sun
As long as there’s rain
As long as there’s rain
As long as there’s fire
As long as there’s fire
As long as there’s me
As long as there’s you

The Next Day by David Bowie is the second album on my Music To Buy list for 2013 on Vinyl/CD following Johnny Marr’s debut solo The Messenger which is scheduled for release on February 26.
