this tree
I found myself
surrounded with trees,
trees common
to the eye except one
that stood out
sun-streaked, enveloped
in sweet air, neglected
at first sight
This tree, rooted
on rocks and pale grass
her longing barks hardened
with age and inclement
seasons, exposing youthful grace
and beauty, I see.
The benign influence of her leaves
rustling, is laughter to my ears
drawing me, a thin flame
commanding an audience.

How wonderful it is to know the existence of that tree. :)
