debut gig and studio sessions
The combination of Typhoon Trami (“Maring”) and non-stop rain caused by the Southwest Monsoon may have paralyzed Metro Manila and flooded Luzon, but our spirits remain strong. Especially in the case of making new music. The drive and excitement is high and I’m looking forward to two important dates for this week.
August 22 – First Recording Sessions
Armed with a number of new materials, a trip back at Sonic State Audio will be the major highlight of the week. I’ll be working once more with my producer Jonathan Ong, the best in the land (if I may say so), for a couple or more tracks to determine a suitable single.
August 24 – Debut Gig
If you are interested to hear what kind of music I’m currently brewing, do catch my performance at The Venice Piazza, McKinley Hill for SONICBOOM S.U.B (Day 2 of SHOCKWAVE 2013). Excellent musicians will back me up and we will perform an all original setlist consisting of new songs for my upcoming album. My time slot for Dragonfly Collector is 7pm. This is a rare opportunity to hear some of my new songs live. I’m looking forward to meeting new and old friends there — feel free to tell me what you think!
