Now Streaming: Brave The Distance

My new track is officially out today under Lilystars Records!

Brave The Distance is a personal reflection of a guy in his forties with an ardent desire and continuing openness for transformation and new learning experiences, whatever the world can offer. To brave the distance also means to break the illusions that prevent us from growing or changing for the better because time is not our friend.

The track was recorded and produced by Venj Gatmaitan in his home studio in Baliuag, Bulacan. It started out as an acoustic demo recorded in 2016 in between my South East Asia and US Tour for the album “The World Is Your Oyster”.

It was shelved for sometime but Venj continued working on the demo last year adding bass, keys, electric guitars, and other elements together with his brother Jojo Gatmaitan who recorded drums for the song, eventually breathing life into it.

The track was mixed and mastered by Chrisanthony Vinzons of Sonic State Audio. Cover art interpretation and design by Ige Trinidad.
