new song and live video: someday, someday, maybe
Video credits to Jef & Nyg Calayo and Requiem Rising Singapore.
Today, I felt like sharing one of the saddest tunes I have ever written, tinged with deep longing and hopeful uncertainty. It’s a new song I wrote last year and debuted live last December during my “Then & Now Unplugged” show in Singapore hosted by Requiem Rising.
This song will appear in my forthcoming album “The World Is Your Oyster“.
SOMEDAY, SOMEDAY, MAYBE
Maybe tomorrow you’ll see me
Maybe tomorrow I’m older, wiser
Maybe I’ll deserve you
Maybe what you feel is more than a maybe
So try, try, try, try
Try to love me
Concoct a plan to find me
Maybe tomorrow I’ll see you
Maybe tomorrow you’re tender, eager
Maybe you’ll embrace me
Maybe what you feel is more than a maybe
So try, try, try, try
Try to love me
Tomorrow I will find you
You may feel secure in that pod you’re in
Ripen and split, ripen and split
There is such a thing as an earth and a sky
And an empty chamber in me
So try, try, try, try
Try to love me
Concoct a plan to find me
So try, try, try, try
Try to love me
Try, try, try, try
Try to love me
Try, try, try, try
Try to love me
Someday, oh, someday, maybe…

Reblogged this on Contemplations of one’s disheartened humanity and commented:

Thanks for sharing!
This is my favorite from your TWIYO album. So simple yet so excruciatingly painful. Excuse me, I just have to cry somewhere. Bye
I cried after hearing the final master recording.
