stretch in and wait

This is probably my last gig for 2012 before me and my family head out to Texas for the holiday winter break. I will be doing long sets till they kick me out or the Crispy Pata starts hurting the back of my neck.

That very same day of slowly and idly wandering around the premises of Griffith Observatory, I also did a quick visit to Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) to admire 202 cast iron streetlamps of assemblage sculpture by Chris Burden blooming right beside the building. Just in time to see the lights turned on as the evening closes in.

my first week in LA

I was at Coast Anabelle Hotel last Saturday in Burbank to witness the 80th surprise birthday party celebration of a family friend to which I affably rendered a number of songs. The highlight of the night is an impromptu jam of a classic Filipino love song “Dahil Sa Iyo” (Because Of You) upon the request of the celebrant’s daughter who also happens to be the manager of the hotel.
